About Us

The Lambert Medical Centre is a rural 6 partner dispensing practice with a catchment radius of approximately 7 miles of Thirsk.

We dispense medication to patients who live more than a mile from the nearest chemists shop.

The surgery staff consists of 8 Doctors, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 8 Receptionists, 4 Dispensers, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 Healthcare Assistants, a Practice Manager and a Caretaker/Cleaner who lives on the premises.

We also offer a late night surgery one evening a week to provide appointments for working patients who are unable to during daytime surgery. The dates of this are displayed on the home page.

The practice provides a minor surgery service which can treat minor sprains, strains, eye problems, minor burns, insect and animal bites, splinters, cuts, stitches and minor head injuries (where there has been no loss of consciousness) Please try to avoid attending A&E unless there is a genuine accident or emergency.

Disabled Access - The practice consulting rooms are located on the ground floor and there is a disabled access toilet located on the ground floor. If you require a wheelchair whilst visiting the practice please ask at reception.

We have limited car parking available for patient use, please do not abuse this by leaving your car whilst you go shopping. There is car parking in the town centre a short walk away.
